The residual a tick treatment leaves on vegetation wears down over a few weeks with rain and new growth, which is why a single visit is not a season. We recommend 5 treatments per season, spaced roughly every 30 days from May through September. Our standalone tick plan is $597 (5 sprays), or $497 when bundled with any mosquito plan, plus HST.

Keep children off the treated area until the spray has dried, as the product label directs. Our licensed technician applies the product according to its label directions, to the leaf litter, lawn edges and vegetation where ticks rest, rather than broadcasting it across open lawn where children play. We also observe buffer zones around vegetable gardens and sandboxes on every property we treat, and we can adjust application zones if you have specific concerns.

The primary species in Ontario are the blacklegged tick (deer tick), which transmits Lyme disease, and the American dog tick. Both are active across the GTA and can be found in lawns, gardens, and wooded areas adjacent to conservation lands.

It targets all three: the barrier spray is applied to the zones where adult ticks, nymphs (the smallest stage, and the one most often linked to Lyme disease transmission), and larvae wait for a host. No treatment removes every tick from a yard, because deer, mice and birds keep carrying new ones in, which is why the program is repeated through the season.

Ticks concentrate at lawn edges, under leaf litter, in garden beds, along fence lines, under woodpiles, and in shaded areas bordering woods or tall grass. Our treatment specifically targets these high-risk zones.

The highest tick activity in the GTA is found near the Oak Ridges Moraine (Richmond Hill, Caledon, King City), Rouge National Urban Park (Scarborough, Markham), Humber River valley (Vaughan, Woodbridge, Etobicoke), and Credit River corridor (Mississauga, Georgetown, Halton Hills). York Region communities near the Moraine — including King City, Kleinburg, and Nobleton — are among the highest-risk areas in the GTA. All 19 cities we serve have meaningful tick risk.
